Charity

Clarkes is continually participating in charitable events that can make a difference to the lives of people in need. We have been involved in various fund raising events for charity and over the last two years have raised hundreds of pounds for Children in need.

February 2012

On Saturday 25th February Clarkes of London provided transport for The Romford Drum and Corp. We provided a vehicle to take the band to the Bobby Moore Statue in Barking where they met a young remarkable boy, Jonjo before he undertook a charity walk in aid of Bowel Caner.

Jonjo walked from Wembley Stadium to West Ham United where he met Mr Gold on the centre circle of the West Ham Vs Crystal Palace game. This young boy is a true inspiration to young people and we are proud to be a part of his work, for more information on Jonjo and pictures of the day please visit his website on www.fornannyandbobby.moonfruit.com

Jonjo - Transport in aid of Bowel Cancer Walk

Please thank everyone at Clarkes.  Jonjo has raised over £55,000 now and his total is still increasing.  It was very emotional and having the band there was the icing on the cake, wouldn't have happened without the help of Clarkes.  Jonjo is really hoping to reach his target of £100,000 soon.

We are always looking to help were we can, the Japanese are a valued customer to our industry and we are privileged to announce that Clarkes provided a complementary vehicle for a 'London by night tour' for Japanese tourists, set up by JRTGA a Japanese charity for guided tours, together we raised over £850.00 to help the victims from the Tsunami devastation.

___________

Dear Clarkes,

Thank you very much for your generous help last night. The coach was totally full, no one empty seat and we made £850!! (this is more than half of the money we raised in last 3 days!!)

Out JRTGA's charity guided tours are mainly walking tours and this special tour only became possible to run by your help. All the Japanese Blue Badge Guides are so grateful.

Thank you again and please give my big " Thank you! " to Ray who did wonderful job.

Best Regards
